Despite weak market conditions, shares of EIH galloped 17 per cent to close the day at Rs 99.65 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). The counter witnessed trading volumes of 22,39,179 shares vis-a-vis the two-week average of 31,009 shares.
Reports also suggest that there was a block deal on the counter, comprising of 13.23 lakh shares at Rs 102.20 per share. The stock made an intraday high of Rs 102.20 and a low of Rs 81.10. Despite this rise, the stock is down by 5.10 per cent in the last one month.
