Barclays Shared Services, a subsidiary of Barclays Bank Plc, today said it has appointed Subhajit Chowdhary as Chief Financial Officer of the company.
Chowdhary will be responsible for the overall management of the company's finance department as well as regulatory compliance. He will report to Sameer Chadha, CEO Barclays Shared Services India, and also serve as a member of the BSS Management Committee, the company said in a statement.
Chowdhary, joins Barclays Shared Services from Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) where he spent seven years and held various positions. Prior to working with FIS, Subhajit had worked with Price Waterhouse.
"He (Chowdhary) brings to Barclays extensive experience across a diverse range of industries and possesses extensive expertise in financial analysis, treasury management, international tax and control which make him a valuable addition to Barclays," Chadha said.
Barclays Shared Services (BSS) provides operations support and services to the businesses within Barclays Global Retail Banking and Barclays Corporate.
