Balaji Telefilms jumps 7.82%

Despite the weak market conditions, shares of Balaji Telefilms jumped 7.82 per cent to close at Rs 62.70 on reports that the impasse between television serials producers and workers has ended. The workers. however, decided to go back on the agreement with the producers’ guild later in the day.

After opening the day 10.6 per cent lower at Rs 52, a new 52-week low, the stock went on to make an intraday high of Rs 65. Trading volumes were a tad lower at 19,070 shares, compared to its two-week average of 23,734 shares. Even after the price rise, the stock is down 35 per cent in the last one month.
