Asian markets end flat

Asian markets ended on a flat note, paring early gains. The Hang Seng added 28 points to 20,272. The Nikkei gained 166 points (1.6%) at 10,371.

The taiwan Weighted dropped 95 points (1.2%) to 7,429. The Seoul Composite slipped marginally to 11 points to 1,596.

The Straits Times ended flat at 2,735.

The Asian markets have given off some of their gains. The Hang Seng is up 44 points at 20,287 and the Nikkei has advanced 120 points or 1% to 10,324, respectively.

The Shanghai Composite Index had added 31 points or 1% at 2,972.

The Taiwan Weighted Index has declined 87 points or 1% to 7,438. The Straits Times and the Seoul Composite are marginally down at 2,733 and 1,594, respectively.

Asian markets have opened positive on strong cues from the US markets. The Hang Seng has rallied 279 points (1.3%) to 20,522. The Nikkei has surged 191 points (1.8%) to 10,396.

The Shanghai Composite has jumped 48 points (1.6%) to 2,989. The Straits Times has gained 23 point (0.8%) at 2,760.

The Taiwan Weighted has added 59 points to 7,583. The Seoul Composite is up marginally at 1,615.
